The choice of polyester composite
Sodistra air handling solutions are entirely designed with panels in polyester composite, which we developed and which we make in France. The choice of a material with many properties: isothermal, ultra-clean, resistant, easy to shape to produce customised products. Gelcoat provides the ultra-smooth finish that makes the products hygienic. The polyester resin links the fibres of the reinforcement to distribute the forces and provide protection. The fibreglass provides resistance by taking up the mechanical stresses. The insulating foam (PIR) is closed cell foam - Density 35 or 50 kg/m3, its thickness varies from 35 to 195 mm depending on your requirements

The choice of polyester composite
Ultra-cleanliness is the core of our developments. We design the floor of your air handling unit, either sloped or without a reverse slope, so as to facilitate maintenance. Evacuation of condensates, washing or de-icing water, takes place via polyester pipes incorporated into the floor of the unit.

The accesses
All the accesses - doors and traps - are also isothermal and watertight. They are custom-moulded. The door leaf is injected under vacuum and we use a silicone tubular seal to improve tightness.

You have never seen anything like Sodistra units but you have already seen the hull of a boat designed like them.
The structure of the air handling unit is a monocoque, designed with 6 polyester composite panels – one face = one panel for better impermeability. They are inter-assembled by the lamination bridging technique, giving an AHU with highly efficient airtightness. The units can resist temperature variations, aggressive environments and bad weather. The AHUs and ventilation ducts can be installed both inside and outside.

We also design air processing networks in polyester composite. The sections of ventilation duct are linked by lamination bridging or flange depending on your requirements for tightness and sound insulation.
